However, if after restarting your phone and the problem continues, then move to the next option.

2. Clear Google Play Services Data / Cache

Clearing the app data and cache can fix the issue instantly.

Just follow below steps.

  • Go to your phone Settings and click on Apps.
  • Locate Google Play Services from the list of apps
  • Tap on Google Play Services.
  • Now tap on ‘clear data’ or clear cache’ accordingly.
  • Once the buttons turn to gray, you are done!

Still, if this didn’t fix the problem, then move to the next solution.

3. Download Google Play Services App

You can download the app from here and install to see if it will fix the error. Remember to enable installation from unknown source for you to be able to install from third-party sources.

4. Restore Factory Settings

Without flashing or formatting your phone, you can restore factory settings to fix the issue.

Here is how to restore factory settings on Android.

  • Goto Settings, and select System.
  • From the options, Select Reset
  • Select Erase all data (factory reset).
  • Select Reset Phone or Reset Tablet at the bottom.
  • You’ll be asked to confirm, select Erase Everything.
  • Your device should reboot and may show a progress screen indicating that it is erasing the data.
