A lot of people use YouTube to watch or listen to music, but it can be quite annoying to always have to be online to enjoy your favorite songs. Fortunately, there are many ways to download music from YouTube on Android very directly. So, you have the tracks you want completely offline.
So that you don’t get stuck with just one option, we’ll show you a free and paid alternative. You can learn how to download music from YouTube on Android below. Check out our tips below!
Using YouTube Premium
Our first suggestion is simply to subscribe to YouTube Premium. With this special plan, you not only delete YouTube video ads, but you can also watch videos with the screen off and download them to watch offline.
The best part is that this is not limited to the main YouTube app. If you download YouTube Music, you can listen to your favorite songs there and download them to listen to everything offline too.
This is the simplest and most legitimate way to download music from YouTube on Android. You can try the service for a free month, but after that, you will have to pay $11.99 per month.
You can also subscribe to the Family plan, in which you can have up to 6 people in your account. This plan costs $ 14.99 per month and you can divide the amount among all members of the group.
Definitely one of the best apps for YouTubers, as you enjoy everything without ads and with more useful options!
Downloading on YouTube Premium
With YouTube Premium signed up and the YouTube Music app installed, search and open the song you want to download. With it playing on your Android smartphone, you have two options on how to download it.
First, you can just tap anywhere on the screen and make three icons appear in the center. The first icon is to share the music, the second to download and the third to create playlists.
Then, just click on the download icon to start it. If you want an alternative way, click on the three vertical dots at the top right of the screen.
This will open up some options, including “Download”. Click on this option to start downloading music from YouTube on Android.
Regardless of the download method you choose, the song will go to your saved tracks. This way, you can listen to it at any time, even if you are offline.
Of course, this only applies as long as you have an active YouTube Premium subscription.
SaveFrom
Our second option is SaveFrom, which is a website that you can use in the internet browser on Android. This is the free method with which you can download music from YouTube on Android.
The good thing is that you don’t have to install anything, just access the official website through the browser you prefer. After that, just go to YouTube and copy the URL of the video that has the song you want to download.
That is done, you need to go back to SaveFrom to paste the URL into the search bar of the website. You will then have several download options to choose from.
As you can see in the image above, there are several video and audio options when downloading. You choose the format you find most convenient and then just wait for the file to finish downloading on your Android.
Pretty simple, isn’t it?!
