Unfortunately, over 5.8 million users have installed these apps and are in a higher risk of having their Facebook account compromised.

These are apps on playstore with Trojan.

1. PIP Photo by Lillians. This app has been downloaded more than 5,000,000 times by users.
2. Processing Photo by chikumburahamilton has been downloaded more than 500,000 times by users.
3. Horoscope Daily by Hscope Daily mom has been downloaded more than 100,000 times by users
4. Inwell Fitness by Reuben Germaine has been downloaded more than 100,000 times by users
5. Rubbish Cleaner by SNT.rbcl has been downloaded more than 100,000 times by users
6. App Lock Keep by Sheralaw Rence has been downloaded more than 50,000 times by users.
7. App Lock Manager by Implummet col has been downloaded more than 10,000 times by users.
8. Lockit Master by Enali mchicolo has been downloaded more than 5,000 times
9. Horoscope Pi by Talleyr Shauna has been downloaded more than 1,000 times on Playstore.

This report was revealed by top Malware analyst Dr Web. The reports reveals that the apps used five malware variants between them, three of which were native to Android and two others using the Google Flutter framework.

Meanwhile, all of the variants used similar configuration file formats and JavaScript code, so they were known as the same trojan.

According to Dr. Web, those applications look like legitimate apps. They offer basic photo editing features and the likes. But the developers of these apps steal Facebook passwords.

Interestingly, Google has been notified about this and the apps has been removed from the Play Store which is Googles official app marketplace.
