Sega is making a comeback of sorts. The legendary video game company has launched Sega Forever, dedicated to keeping the SEGA Legacy alive long in the coming Future. And there’s no better way to go back in time and Bring Classic Sega games on your very own Smartphone.
Gone was the time, not so long gone, when SEGA was no doubt the largest video game company in the world. Speaking about the Consoles, the SEGA Genesis or the Mega Drive was a Huge Success. And then there were the Famous characters such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd, Ecco the Dolphin and, uh, Seaman.
And then Sega released the Dreamcast, an underestimated console, and the whole thing fell apart. And Now to SEGA is still out there in the market making Arcade machines and games for other Consoles. And now, thanks to Sega Forever, the company is also making its mark in the world of mobile games.

SEGA Forever is the New Roof Under which Tons of Classic SEGA games are being published for Android and iOS. The games will be completely free and supported by advertisements. Anyone who wishes to pay for the privilege can disable the ads forever for a one-time payment of $1.99 (per title).
Sega kicked things off with five Genesis titles: Sonic the Hedgehog, Zone Comix, Modified Beast, Child Chameleon, and Phantasy Star II. New titles will be launched every two weeks with Master System, Game Gear, Saturn and Dreamcast titles coming soon.
All Sega Forever titles will be available for offline play, with online rankings available for those who like to compare their talents with others. Older Sega titles will be introduced to smartphones through emulation, while newer titles will require full ports for iOS and Android.
Bringing Old Games to a New Audience
The only thing Sega has in mind is the pedigree, so it’s only fair to focus on making its old games available to a new audience using a modern platform. Will it succeed? It depends on the quality of emulations and ports, especially when the best Dreamcast games become available on mobile.

The video game company Sega announces the release of Sega Genesis Classics, a collection of more than 50 legendary Sega games to play on PS4, Xbox One and Android.
So notice to all those nostalgic for the ’90s and its arcades of the time: make sure to mark the date of May 29th in your diary. That’s when you’ll be able to get that special edition of the best Sega games of your childhood.

The Sega Genesis Classics collection includes more than 50 games that have captured the imagination of players of this small 16-bit console. Sega will release this collection of classics on PS4, Xbox One and Android consoles on May 29th. A PC version is also planned a little later.
Bonus: some of these games will be able to be played in online multiplayer mode! But the “hardcore” gamers of the time will especially appreciate the game save feature. Yes, as incredible as it may seem, it wasn’t possible to “save” your game on all of the games in the original Genesis.
